Anne Hornsby, Director, Mind's Eye.
Drama graduate of Bristol University, and an Arts Marketer, Anne began audio-describing in 1988. She established Mind's Eye in 1992 and has never stopped describing since! She describes around 100 spectacles a year, from Opera to Burlesque, Fine Art to chimpanzees.

Meet The Team
Chris has worked with Mind’s Eye since 2005 describing theatre, gallery and museum exhibitions, and conferences and events around the country. In addition, he has also set up theatreville.co.uk, designing posters for theatre and film.
Professional audio describer since 2005 around the UK. Mainly theatre work - drama, comedy, thrillers, musical theatre, pantomime, classics. Also, cultural events and galleries.
A musician from Liverpool Michael has been describing since 2005 in theatres,museums and galleries acrosd the north-west.More recently has described foe Dada Fest, Liverpool s light night and at the new Everyman theatre.
Maxine trained to become an audio describer in 2005. She has worked on many shows at the Royal Exchange and further afield
Eleanor has been audio describing since 2005 around the North West and beyond – mostly theatre but also talks, art gallery tours and even the butterfly house at Chester Zoo!

A describer since 1999, Jane’s worked on a wide range of plays, operas, films and TV, not to mention circus and street festivals. She’s still in pursuit of the perfect description.
Willie has worked all over the UK as an actor, director and describer. He describes regularly for Graeae, Vocaleyes and StopGap Dance Company, also for Northern Ballet and Ballet Rambert

Clare Le May
Clare spent many years working in theatre. She is now an editor, writer and Audio Describer. Her collection of short stories Twisting Tales is available from Webvant Press.

Margaret Spittles has been an audio describer since 1993. Trained by the Royal Shakespeare Company she has wide experience in describing Opera, Musicals and Pantomime as well as most forms of Drama.
